Premiere of Mohammed Fairouz's Evermore

The American String Quartet joined the actor George Abud at the Aspen Music Festival this summer in the world premiere of the composer Mohammed Fairouz’s “Evermore.” Combining spoken word, dramatic voicing, and singing with quartet interplay, “Evermore” was inspired by the poetry of Edgar Allen Poe, and in part references the roots of poetry and music in the Middle East.
